Biomedical. Dr Sam Bailey looks at several Substack blogs whose authorship is credited to avatar accounts, opposing many of the mandates which resulted from the “COVID” Psy Op, but maintaining belief in the core narrative of the Psy Op.
Dr Sam Bailey, 5/7/24. 20 minutes.
"This week's video is a bit different from our usual content. Instead of taking a dive into a particular medical or health topic, I'm going to talk about the phenomenon of avatar accounts. These have become much more common during the COVID-19 era and some have accrued fairly large audiences with claims that they are "truth tellers".
However, some of these accounts are clearly not telling the truth and are using their influence to promote the fraudulent "pandemic" as well as its related matters such as "viruses", stories of "gain of function" and "bio-weapons", and alleged treatments involving Ivermectin and other Big Pharma products.
Whoever is behind the avatar accounts, they are always hiding something: most importantly the identity or group behind the avatar. Also of note is how some of these accounts suddenly appeared with large followings on Substack when they previously had little to no presence on other platforms. Please share your thoughts in the comments about who could be behind these accounts and if they may be attempting to influence particular narratives.”

Excellent statements using Jazzieri towards the end about the virtual replacing the real, what our colleague Eric Francis Coppolino calls "digital disembodiment."
And a really good rundown of the cast of clowns avatars who are working hard to promote virology, bio-weapon lab leak, and the rest of the fraud, reinforcing the power of the "truth movement" celebrity mafia, the likes of Kory, Malone, McCullough, Kirsch, RFK jr, Bigtree,...
Thanks again, Sam.
My additional notes.
Some of the avatars discussed. Second Smartest Guy In the Room echos Pierre Kory. Vigilant Fox heavily channels The Wellness Co,, Peter McCullough, Robert Malone and Kory. A Midwestern Doctor pushes Vigilant Fox, Kory and Steve Kirsch (the deep money behind the mafia).
And, Riley Waggaman discusses the latest moved toward guaranteed safety and convenience in Russia. MAJOR IRONY ALERT.
Convenience is also on the rise. Edward Slavsquat, 5/7/24.
Readers of the blog know that Russian authorities stay up late every night brainstorming ways to make things more safe and convenient. It’s their top priority. You might even say it’s what they crave. The very thought that someone might not be completely safe, or might be very slightly inconvenienced, is hateful to these saintly public servants. It’s probably the same in your own country, which is undoubtedly governed by the same breed of selfless cattle ranchers. We are lucky to live in the best of all possible worlds.
Taking into account all of the facts I just listed above, it’s hardly surprising that the Immortal Regiment—an international event in which people are invited to mark Victory Day (May 9) by marching through the streets with photographs of relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War—will not take place in Russia (again).[Screen shot]
The march has been canceled nationwide due to “existing threats to public safety.” Instead, Russians are invited to tape photographs to their cars or share the portraits of their relatives on social networks. Yup. The Great Patriotic War is Russia’s civic religion. Before the Immortal Regiment became Unsafe and Inconvenient, around a million Muscovites would fill the streets of Russia’s capital on May 9 to honor their veteran-ancestors.
This is no longer Safe, though……
Also: Please keep in mind that Moscow is one of the most heavily surveilled cities on our pale blue landfill, Earth. In conclusion: After two years of fighting the Nazi Satanists in Ukraine, Russians are prohibited from walking down the street in honor of their Nazi-fighting ancestors.[Three screen shots, video]

4IR. A day after the world celebrated an apparent ceasefire announced for Gaza, only to have this be denied just hours later, IDF forces invaded Rafah and took control of the border crossing with Egypt, in a “limited operation,” cutting off Gaza from Egypt, and thus from the rest of the world. Two items from Al Jazeera. One,…..
Israel takes control of Rafah crossing, Gaza’s lifeline: What’s going on? The Israeli military is moving ahead with a ground operation in Rafah and has effectively sealed Gaza off from the rest of the region. Al Jazeera staff, 5/7/24. Photos, videos, maps.
The Israeli military has seized control of the Gaza Strip side of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, moving forward with an offensive in the southern city as prospects for a ceasefire deal with Hamas hang in the balance. Israel’s 401st Brigade entered the Rafah crossing on Tuesday morning, a day after the Palestinian group governing Gaza said it accepted an Egyptian-Qatari mediated ceasefire proposal. Israel, meanwhile, insisted the deal did not meet its core demands.
The Rafah crossing is crucial for both aid and those able to flee into Egypt. Israeli leaders long anticipated a military operation into the southern city, where some 1.4 million Palestinians, including more than 600,000 children, are sheltering, despite warnings from the United Nations, United States, the European Union and international humanitarian organisations that an attack would be catastrophic.
What’s the status on the ground in Rafah?
Footage released by the Israeli military showed a tank entering the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing. Details of the video matched known features of the crossing and showed Israeli flags flying from tanks that seized the area. The Israeli military said in an early morning news briefing on Tuesday that its special forces were scanning the area and that they had been operating since Monday night in eastern Rafah.
Israel said the vast majority of people were evacuated from the area of military operations. Palestinians were instructed by Arabic text messages, phone calls and flyers to move towards al-Mawasi on the Mediterranean Sea coast, where the military said it had set up a humanitarian zone with field hospitals, tents and medical supplies. The evacuations came as the Israeli military intensified its bombardment of the city. Tanks and planes pounded several areas and at least four houses in Rafah overnight, killing 20 Palestinians and wounding several others, according to Palestinian health officials.Three people were killed in an Israeli air attack on a house belonging to the al-Darbi family west of Rafah city, Al Jazeera Arabic reported.
What are the reactions to the offensive?
The Israeli military claimed it seized the Rafah crossing after receiving intelligence it was “being used for terrorist purposes”. It said that in addition to killing 20 fighters and destroying Hamas infrastructure in the area, its forces also located “three operational shafts”. “The forces of the 401st Divisional Combat Team and the Divisional Combat Team of the Givati Brigade continue to operate in the area against terrorists and terrorist infrastructures,” it said in a post on X.
No evidence was immediately provided to support the assertion, but the military alleged the area around the Rafah crossing was used to launch a mortar attack that killed three Israeli troops and wounded others near the Karem Abu Salem crossing, which Israel calls the Kerem Shalom crossing, on Sunday. Hamas’s armed wing has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said his country would have “crushed” Hamas a long time ago if it was not for the captives held in Gaza. “The army’s entry into Rafah promotes the two main goals of the war: Freeing captives and defeating Hamas,” he said on X.Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian called on Israel to “heed the overwhelming demands of the international community, stop attacking Rafah, and do everything it can to avoid a more serious humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip”.
Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi warned that Israel is “jeopardising the deal {with Hamas} by bombing Rafah”. Jordan’s King Abdullah II told US President Joe Biden in a private meeting on Monday that an Israeli offensive in Rafah would lead to a “new massacre” of Palestinian civilians and could cause a regional spillover of the conflict.
What about the ceasefire deal Hamas agreed to?
Hamas on Monday said it had accepted a ceasefire proposal put forward by Egypt and Qatar that would see an initial halt in the fighting leading to lasting calm and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Palestinian territory. The proposed agreement would also ensure the release of Israeli captives in Gaza as well as an unspecified number of Palestinians held in Israeli jails.
The Israeli prime minister’s office released a statement saying that the “Hamas proposal is far from Israel’s requirements”, but it will send a delegation to Cairo to continue negotiations. The statement added that Israel will “continue the operation in Rafah to exert military pressure on Hamas”. Families of captives in Gaza held demonstrations to pressure the Israeli government to accept the deal and return their loved ones home.
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said Washington would discuss the Hamas response with its allies in the coming hours, and a deal was “absolutely achievable”. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described the prospect of a ground invasion of Rafah as “intolerable” and called on Israel and Hamas “to go an extra mile” to reach a truce deal. “This is an opportunity that cannot be missed, and a ground invasion in Rafah would be intolerable because of its devastating humanitarian consequences, and because of its destabilising impact in the region,” Guterres said on Monday, ahead of a meeting with Italian President Sergio Mattarella in New York.
What does this mean for aid deliveries into Gaza?
The Gaza Strip is now sealed off from the rest of the region. Shipments of crucial aid supplies to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing have been halted, despite the UN warning of a looming famine. Gaza’s southern border with Egypt has been the main lifeline for the delivery of humanitarian aid and the only exit point for injured people and foreign passport holders.
Although Israel does not directly control the Rafah crossing, it monitors all activity in southern Gaza via its military bases and other surveillance. The Israeli military has also closed the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing in southern Israel on Tuesday for “security reasons” and said it would reopen once the situation allows.
Hisham Edwan, spokesman for the Gaza Border Crossing Authority, said Israel had “sentenced the residents of the Strip to death after closure of the Rafah border crossing”. He said the situation was especially grave for cancer patients who need treatment. World Food Programme Executive Director Cindy McCain on Sunday warned that the “full-blown famine” that took hold in the north of the enclave was “moving its way south”.
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said in a post on X that “the catastrophic hunger faced by people” in Gaza would “get much worse” if supply routes were interrupted. Sam Rose, director of planning at the UNRWA, told Al Jazeera that Israel’s push to close the Rafah crossing and the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing “cuts off everything”. “There’s no ability for desalination plants to operate and provide safe water. There’s no electricity,” Rose said. As the occupying power, Israel is obliged under international law to ensure the provision of food and medical care to the population and to facilitate the work of humanitarian organisations delivering aid.
And the second,...
‘The goal is to destroy Gaza’: Why Israel rejects a ceasefire with Hamas. Israel has rejected a ceasefire and launched an operation in Rafah, raising fears that the war in Gaza could drag on. Mat Nashed, 5/7/24.
Israel appears to have been blindsided by Hamas’s announcement on Monday that it had agreed to an Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire proposal. But the Israeli government quickly made its position clear – the proposal wasn’t something it would agree to, and, to make matters more explicit, its military forces took control of the Palestinian side of Egypt’s border with Gaza in Rafah.
For many analysts, the Israeli government’s message is clear: there will be no permanent ceasefire, and the devastating war on Gaza will continue. “Israel wants to reserve the right to continue operations in Gaza,” said Mairav Zonszein, a senior analyst on Israel-Palestine for the International Crisis Group (ICG). She added that a deal seems impossible as long as Israel refuses to end the war, for good. “If you enter a ceasefire deal, then you will {eventually} need a ceasefire,” she told Al Jazeera.
Israel’s bombing of Rafah has the ostensible aim of disbanding Hamas battalions and seizing control of the Gaza-Egyptian crossing, which Israel accuses Hamas of using to smuggle weapons into the besieged enclave. But humanitarian groups have been quick to point out that a closure of the crossing will have disastrous consequences for the more than one million Palestinians living in Rafah, the majority of them displaced.
And it also jeopardises hopes of securing a deal between Israel and Hamas, which Egypt, Qatar and the United States have spent days attempting to broker, with William Burns, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) heavily involved. Israel said that the terms of the Hamas ceasefire differed from previous proposals it had seen. But analysts believe that the wider issue is that Israel is not willing to agree to a permanent ceasefire, even after Hamas releases Israeli captives.
“The last couple of days have proved that Israel was not really negotiating in good faith. The moment that Hamas agreed to a deal, Israel was willing to blow that up by commencing their assault on Rafah,” said Omar Rahman, an expert on Israel-Palestine with the Middle East Council for Global Affairs, a think tank in Doha, Qatar. “The goal is to destroy Gaza in its totality,” he told Al Jazeera.
Selling a victory?
Rafah has become the last refuge for Palestinians fleeing Israeli attacks across the enclave’s northern and central regions. It has not been totally spared attack, but the Israeli army had not – until Monday – sent in ground forces to occupy territory there. But having conducted ground operations across the rest of Gaza, and with Hamas still operational and dozens of Israeli captives still being held, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has begun his attack – although its still to be determined how far his forces will go in Rafah.
The conundrum that Netanyahu faces is that he has promised the Israeli public victory against Hamas – and a large majority of Jewish Israelis support an invasion of Rafah, according to a survey taken in March by the Israeli Democracy Institute. But the US, despite its overwhelming support for Israel throughout the war on Gaza, has made clear that it will not support a full-scale invasion.
Israel’s war cabinet may be trying to satisfy public opinion by going ahead with the Rafah offensive and initially rejecting a ceasefire, said Hugh Lovatt, an expert on Israel-Palestine with the European Council for Foreign Relations (ECFR). “It might be too difficult for the Israeli government to accept a proposal that is seen [by the Israeli public] to be on Hamas’s terms,” he told Al Jazeera. “By going into Rafah, Israel could be seen as saying…we have taken over the corridor, we have uprooted terrorist infrastructure and now we can have a ceasefire.”
Clinging to power
Netanyahu’s political career also hinges on continuing the war in Gaza, analysts told Al Jazeera. They explained that a permanent ceasefire could lead to the collapse of his far-right coalition, prompting early elections and his removal from power.
Israel’s far-right national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, have reportedly both threatened to leave and collapse Netanyahu’s coalition if Israel agrees to a captive deal and ceasefire. Far-right lawmaker Itamar Ben-Gvir has repeatedly threatened to leave the Israeli government if a deal with Hamas is agreed [Link] Khaled Elgindy, an analyst on Israel-Palestine for the Middle East Institute, believes that Hamas’s acceptance of a ceasefire proposal puts Netanyahu in an awkward position since he can no longer claim that a reasonable deal isn’t on the table. “Netanyahu needs the war to continue and expand for him to stay in power. He personally doesn’t have an incentive,” he told Al Jazeera.
Lovatt, from ECFR, added that invading Rafah also carries medium and long-term risks for Netanyahu and Israel. He fears that if Israel significantly escalates its offensive on Rafah, then it will lose the remaining Israeli captives without arriving any closer to its stated aim of “eradicating Hamas”. “If Israel goes into Rafah and wreaks carnage and damage, then it will be no closer to its strategic objective and I think that will create more complications for Netanyahu in the weeks and months ahead,” he told Al Jazeera. In May, US President Joe Biden warned Netanyahu against invading Rafah and said such a move would be a “red line”. Lovatt believes that the US should penalise Netanyahu for disregarding Biden’s threat. He added that the US should suspend military aid and clarify that the ceasefire proposal accepted by Hamas is in line with the one that CIA chief Burns helped mediate.
[Today, Biden’s Defense and State Secretaries announced suspension of military shipments to Israel. Waiting for Trump and RFK Jr, who are challenging Biden, to react, not to mention the Israel Lobby]
“It appears that Israel is bypassing a ceasefire proposal that Will Burns worked on. This is a massive move against US diplomacy and I think the US needs to put its foot down,” Lovatt told Al Jazeera. “This is about saving Netanyahu from himself and saving Israel from itself.” The US has delayed the sale of thousands of precision weapons to Israel, but Elgindy is sceptical that the US will exert more pressure to avert a catastrophe in Rafah. He said that Biden still doesn’t appear to grasp Israel’s strategic error in Gaza or the scale of the disaster that he has enabled. “Some people in Biden’s administration have reached that conclusion {that Israel committed a strategic error}, but they are not decision-makers. They are not the president,” he told Al Jazeera.
Zonszein, from Crisis Group, added that it is unclear how far the US will go to push Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire. She said that the US appears to have given the mediators private guarantees that any ceasefire would eventually lead to a permanent end to the war. “The US is very much interested in stopping this invasion into Rafah and I think it has the ability to stop it,” she said. “ It just doesn’t want to appear to be helping Hamas, so it’s a tricky situation.”

My comments. In the news segment, news via Israel’s Ha’Haretz of an apparent agreement between the Israeli and Egyptian governments for an unnamed private American “security" firm with ample presence around the world to manage Rafah Crossing once an agreement is reached. People who question whether there is genocide going on in Gaza, compared to recent wars (i.e this is just another war) should check out the two reports from Gaza. The Strip’s water and sewage systems are destroyed, and so is the entire health system. This is not a situation in which human life in an urban form is viable, not even in the short term. There already is a famine in the north, and it is spreading.
And, the 4th in Craig McKee’s series regarding the 9/11 events at the Pentagon.
Chandler, Coste, and company have pushed many truthers to set aside the Pentagon evidence because it's "too divisive,” Craig McKee, 5/7/24.
In my fourth Truth and Shadows video, Adam Ruff and I build on the last video (which introduced Citizen Investigation Team and the north-path witnesses) by examining the deceptive group that is pushing the 9/11 Truth Movement to accept almost all of the official story of what happened at the Pentagon.
I call this group “The Cabal.” It features people like David Chandler, Ken Jenkins, Wayne Coste, John Wyndham, Fran Shure, Chris Sarns, Jim Hoffman, Victoria Ashley, Jonathan Cole, Kevin Ryan, Frank Legge, Dwain Deets, Chris Gruener, Justin Keogh, John Bursill, Ryan Dawson, Dave Slesinger, Simon Falkner, Adam Taylor, Warren Stutt, Adam Fitzgerald, Nelson Martins, Ed Brotherton, and others.

And, British members of parliament are trained regarding the spotting of “conspiracy theories."
New “Guide” Teaches UK MPs to Spot “Conspiracy Theories”, Kit Knightly, 5/8/24.
The British government has issued a new guidebook to all sitting MPs to help them spot “conspiracy theories”.
Leader of the House Penny Mordaunt MP, who commissioned the guide, has warned that: "The proliferation of conspiracy theories across the UK is deeply disturbing. They are deliberate campaigns to spread disinformation and fear […] If they go unchallenged we risk the public being conned and their wellbeing potentially damaged. These campaigns are also a threat to the health of our democracy. It is essential that we give the public and their representatives the tools they need to combat this phenomenon.”
And claimed the aim of the new guide was to: "protect the public from the damaging effects of misinformation and safeguard the integrity of our democratic process,” Which sounds just lovely, doesn’t it? Oh, and just in case any of you are still caught up in the party politics illusion, the guide has full cross-party support, the Shadow Leader of the House called it “a must-read”.
The report was co-written by “experts” representing several non-governmental organisations, and fact-checkers including:
• FullFact – funded by (among others) Google, Facebook and the Open Society Foundation.
• The Institute for Strategic Dialogue – funded by (among others) the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, Facebook, over a dozen national governments and the UN.
• Global Network on Extremism and Technology – The academic research arm of the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, a thinktank “designed to prevent terrorists and violent extremists from exploiting digital platforms”…and which is funded by (among others) Facebook, Amazon, Youtube and Microsoft.
In short, it’s all a rather incestuous funding pool of the same handful of tech giants and billionaires paying “experts” to tell them what they want to hear. But we probably shouldn’t judge until we’ve read the “guide” itself, which is tricky because it doesn’t seem to be publicly available (seriously I looked everywhere, if you’re aware of a copy online post it in the comments and we’ll add it the link here). Fortunately, our old friends at the Guardian have given us a little taste, here’s three things they’re warning about.
The Great Reset, which the Graun describes as… "…a vague set of proposals from the World Economic Forum to encourage governments to move to adopt more equitable policies, the concept has been hijacked by conspiracy theorists claiming it is a bid by a small group to exert control.” …which is wonderful, because it’s essentially admitting it’s true and then pretending it’s not.
The Great Reset is, indeed, a WEF initiative. It was launched in June 2020 with the backing of world leaders and captains of industry, it aims to totally and completely rebuild the way our society works, including how we travel, what we eat and where we live. You can read about it in Klaus Schwab’s own words here, or see their handy diagram:[Graphic] How is that NOT “exerting control”? How does one go about transforming the farming, travel, taxation and employment policies of every nation on Earth without “exerting control”?
Eating Insects is another “conspiracy theory”, apparently. With the Guardian warning that: “{[conspiracy theories} have included claims – fuelled by attempts to reduce meat consumption – that the WEF wants to make people eat insects.” The only problem being that the WEF really does want people to eat insects:[Graphic] Like, a lot: You know what? The Guardian wants people to eat insects too. So does the BBC. And Time. The list is endless.
This is – to use an overused word – gaslighting of the highest degree. They are at once saying “hey, we all need to eat insects to save the world”, and then claiming anyone who repeats it back at them is a conspiracy theorist. To encompass how mad this is you have to picture it being done on an interpersonal level. Imagine a double-glazing salesman comes to your door, wearing a double-glazing company logo and holding a double-glazing sales catalogue and says “I think you should buy some double-glazing”.
To which you reply, “No thanks I don’t need any double glazing.” At this point the man screams “Double glazing? Who said anything about double glazing!? You lunatic!” storms off down the path, gets in his double-glazing van and drives away. It’s just that insane.
Climate Lockdowns are the third “conspiracy theory” the Guardian warns us about, claiming: "The ISD identified “climate lockdown” as the catchphrase for the conspiracy that the climate crisis will be used as a pretext for depriving citizens of liberty."
But climate lockdowns are not a conspiracy theory either, they were first posited in a report in October 2020 published by Project Syndicate and the World Council for Sustainable Development. The proposed lockdown included banning private vehicles, the consumption of red meat and “extreme energy-saving measures”.
Since then we have been inundated with peer-review studies, claiming lockdown is good for the environment. The Guardian itself headlined, in March 2021: "Global lockdown every two years needed to meet Paris CO2 goals – study” It was such an unpopular story that they sneakily changed the headline.
It’s fairly clear that “climate lockdowns” are far from a conspiracy theory, that they were planned and then abandoned (or delayed) due to public anger at the first lockdown. So, it looks like at least three of these “conspiracy theories” MPs are being “warned against” are actually…true. At least partially. Oh well.
Still, it’s reassuring to know that unnamed experts from billionaire-funded NGOs are writing “guides” teaching our elected officials about the dangers of wrongthink. What a great way to “safeguard the integrity of our democratic process”.
Ending this segment and this edition, the next part of Off Guardian’s series on Transhumanism.
Transhumanist Futures Part 2: Humanity in the Crosshairs. Lissa Johnson, Daniel Broudy & David A. Hughes, 5/7/24. Opening only.
Originally published by Propaganda in Focus. Part One of this article is available here and here.
The Transhumanist campaign against humanity, we have outlined in Part 1, is part and parcel of a sophisticated long-game strategy waged against bodies and psyches. With the manipulation of our primal fears and altruistic impulses, the prosecution of this technological onslaught against humanity is camouflaged by linguistic shell games based on sanitising, eulogising and euphemistic language; justification through appeal to valued collective activities such as space exploration; and by claimed threats that humanity is itself the scourge, including through its propensity for “unwanted” love, which is recast as an affliction needing treatment with biochips and neuroceuticals.
In this perverse “New Normal”, technocratic regimes of dispossession headed by transnational economic interests and, we argue, the military-intelligence complex, are presented as self-evident and morally justified. Social order, civil rights, and human sovereignty are reconceptualised, repackaged, and reframed in public discourse as “surveillance under the skin”.
Part 2 broadens scope beyond NASA and its purportedly space-oriented transhumanist agenda by offering analysis of transhumanist forecasting and planning in an array of military-intelligence strategic vision or ‘futures’ documents, which are focussed both on military personnel and civilian populations. We reveal that this evidence not only casts military personnel as fodder for transhumanist experimentation, but foresees societies and leadership agendas stratified along transhumanist lines.
The trail of documentation ultimately leads to an intersection with military-intelligence scenario planning for a pandemic-ravaged dystopian global landscape in the year 2020, with real and present implications for impending global governance under the World Health Organisation, with ratification of amendments to International Health Regulations and a new Pandemic Preparedness treaty pending in May 2024.
Introduction
Too often do we marvel at the power of the institutions we have constructed over time, and too often do we take for granted that ministers of state power have a genuine interest in attending to the needs of the citizenry who give consent to their rule. But how, in these times of systematic societal destruction, can we understand the ways in which a “New Normal” is being built before our eyes in the biological systems that comprise families, communities, and nations? How is the great transformation unfolding in real-time? Can the material evidence of fundamental change be discerned through the obscurity of official planning, policies and papers already published?
A Brave New Millennium: Nanotechnology, Policy, and the Building Blocks of ‘Life’
In September 2000, almost a year before NASA Langley’s August 2001 ‘futures’ presentation[1] to the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) described in Part 1, another ‘futures’ workshop took place a short drive along the Potomac River from Langley, at the National Science Foundation (NSF) headquarters in Alexandria Virginia. The workshop was titled ‘Societal Implications of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology’. It was organised by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), a cabinet-level council of advisers to the President,[2] which provides “the principal means for the U.S. President to coordinate science, space and technology policies across the Federal Government”.[3]
In hindsight, one can see how the little-known September 2000 NSTC workshop now stands on the science and technology policy landscape as an unassuming launchpad for what NASA Langley would term, in the following year, the BioNano Age. It was held two months after the US Government’s National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) was announced in July 2000,[4] whose aim was to accelerate progress in nanotechnology research, and was sponsored by the same Federal NSTC body that co-ordinated the NNI.[5] Shortly prior to the 2000 NSTC workshop, according to the workshop summary, “a White House letter (from the Office of Science and Technology Policy and Office of Management and Budget) sent in the fall of 2000 to all Federal agencies has placed nanotechnology at the top of the list of emerging fields of research and development in the United States”.[6]
In tandem with the nano-technological movement in the White House, the 2000 NSTC workshop spawned a modestly-worded 280-page report in 2001, which advised that “a revolution is occurring in science and technology, based on the recently developed ability to measure, manipulate and organize matter on the nanoscale — 1 to 100 billionths of a meter”. The report predicted that, “over the next 10 to 20 years [2010-2020], nanotechnology will fundamentally transform science, technology, and society”. It added, “there is little doubt that the broader implications of this nanoscience and nanotechnology revolution for society at large will be profound”.[7]
The status of such nanotechnology policies is significant to transhumanism’s trajectory in that nano-technological materials and tools are critical to the transhumanist project of re-engineering biological life. According to a 2010 report from the Air War College titled Nanotechnology: Threats and Deterrent Opportunities by 2035, “the ability to work in nanoscale is … leading to unprecedented understanding and control over the basic building blocks of all natural and man-made things”.[8] It goes without saying that one could not get more elemental than controlling the basic building blocks of all natural and man-made things. Nanotechnology, the report explains, “is about much more than dealing with the very small”. It quotes Mihail C. Roco, Senior Advisor for Science and Engineering at the NSF, as saying that nanotechnology represents the convergence of science and engineering “where the fundamental principles of life can be found.”[9] [SNIP]….
My comment. The reality is that the coming rapid decline in energy resources and supplies of critical raw materials will alone doom any extension of high tech society, let alone any nanotechnology transhumanist dreams, never mind the collapse of the global ecosystem and the increasingly chaotic global economic system almost certainly leading to a global economic collapse and rapid moves towards a third (nuclear) world war.
