Biomedical. Two visits back and updates to two previous items First ie from Mike Stone. about fear being the real health problem.
No replication competent obligate intracellular parasite required. Mike Stone, 10/31/24. Excerpts.
Shortly after I started the ViroLIEgy Substack, I wrote an article titled Fear is the Real “Virus,” focusing on how one’s mental state can profoundly impact their health. I examined how strong emotions like fear, leading to greater stress and anxiety, can manifest the very symptoms one fears—a phenomenon known as the nocebo effect. This effect occurs when negative beliefs create negative health outcomes. I provided evidence for the nocebo effect in action in the article Infectious Myth Busted Part 7: The Common Cold Vacation, where a patient's belief that they should contract an illness in a transmission experiment resulted in the very symptoms developing. This happened after a nurse mistakenly told the patient, who was healthy two days after the injection, that they had received a cold filtrate rather than a sterile solution. Once corrected, the patient's symptoms subsided almost immediately:[Quote]…
While fear over “Covid-19” has subsided in recent years, the mainstream media, with the help of “health” organizations like the CDC and WHO, continue to create a state of constant terror over the next big “threat.” Whether it’s the avian flu, monkeypox, West Nile "virus," the latest "SARS2" variants, bacterial outbreaks and food recalls, or the mysterious Disease X, there are daily stories alerting the public and keeping the fearful on edge, awaiting the next shoe to drop.
In light of this ongoing fear campaign, I planned to simply post my original article on this topic to ViroLIEgy dot com for the Halloween season, hoping to raise awareness. However, the role of the mind in health outcomes is such an important subject—and one I’ve only just begun to explore—that I’ve decided to take a closer look at how fear and its related emotions affected public health during “Covid” to shed more light on this topic. To do so, I’m including an illuminating article from early in the “pandemic” on how fear can spread from person to person faster than an imaginary “coronavirus.” Additionally, I’ve included excerpts from a 2021 study on the psychological consequences of “Covid-19” fear and its impact on underlying illnesses. Together, these papers provide valuable insight into how we were emotionally manipulated during the “pandemic,” and how fear influences health, adding depth and context to the original article.
An interesting, and very prescient, article from the early days of this “pandemic,” published on March 22, 2020, explored how fear can spread from person to person faster than any “virus” could ever hope to do. The author, Jacek Debiec, M.D., Ph.D., an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and an Assistant Research Professor in the Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, stated that a “pandemic of fear” was unfolding alongside the “coronavirus.” Media announcements of mass cancellations, panic shopping, and anti-Asian attacks fueled this spread, especially with the world wide reach and instantaneous nature of modern media. Dr. Debiec noted that “fear contagion spreads faster than the dangerous yet invisible virus,” adding that his clinical and experimental experience had shown him just how powerful fear contagion can be.[Excerpt]….
Dr. Debiec highlighted an important aspect of fear contagion. When the first antelope senses danger, it reacts immediately; the other antelopes, however, don’t detect the threat directly but respond to the fear signal from that first antelope. Similarly, humans are sensitive to fear or panic expressed by those close to us and often respond in kind. This social transmission of fear is especially strong among individuals who are related or within the same group, compared to interactions between strangers. Dr. Debiec further noted that fear contagion serves as an efficient means of spreading defense responses—not only within families or social groups but also across entire species.[Excerpt]…..
Dr. Debiec explained that fear contagion occurs automatically and unconsciously, making it difficult to control. Once fear is triggered in a crowd, there is often no time or opportunity to verify the source of the terror. This tendency to bypass verification has been apparent throughout this “pandemic,” as many people didn’t question the evidence for a “novel pathogenic virus” themselves. Instead, they relied on the reactions of family and friends, who were influenced by fear-based propaganda. Unlike physical contagion, the terrifying images and information promoted by the media can spread fear effectively without any “virus” being necessary. This fear then travels from person to person, creating widespread panic. As Dr. Debiec noted, while antelopes stop panicking once they’re safely out of danger, the constant stream of alarming images on the news keeps people in a state of fear, so the feeling of immediate danger never subsides.[Excerpt]….
Dr. Debiec emphasized that fear contagion, as a social phenomenon, is nearly impossible to prevent once triggered. Actions, he noted, often matter more than words; thus, lockdowns, quarantines, and restrictions became powerful tools for inducing fear. This fear intensified with inconsistent messages that frequently changed based on the shifting “science.” For instance, while people were initially told not to wear face masks, healthcare workers were shown in full hazmat gear. Seeing “authority figures” wear masks against an unseen threat led people to follow suit, buying masks for “protection.”
Although actions are influential, words can be equally powerful in spreading fear contagion. Individuals under stress have a harder time processing details and nuances. When “health” institutions and mainstream media withheld critical facts and continually misled the public, it fostered greater uncertainty, amplifying fear and anxiety.[Excerpt]….
Dr. Debiec’s article effectively explains how “health” institutions, with support from the pharmaceutically-funded mainstream media, generated enough fear to create the impression of a “pandemic.” This fear contagion spread through a strategic use of visual psychological cues—lockdowns, quarantines, social distancing, masking—paired with powerful fear-inducing headlines and imagery. These elements kept the public constantly updated on the deadly toll the “virus” was allegedly taking locally and globally. Frequent contradictions and shifting information heightened confusion, intensifying fear, anxiety, stress, and depression. Once this fear contagion took hold in China, it spread quickly through an increasingly interconnected world. The “virus” seemed both everywhere and nowhere, leaving people with no sense of escape.
Once the fear contagion was accepted and spread throughout the world, the detrimental effects of the fear generated by an invisible enemy became readily apparent. This was explained in a February 2021 issue of The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, when a group of researchers examined the psychological effects of the fear of acquiring “Covid-19” on specific groups in Turkey. The researchers observed that the rapid spread of the “virus” and the heightened fear surrounding its “threat” contributed to increased levels of depression, stress, and anxiety across different segments of society. Those already in poor health, or who had friends or family affected or lost to illness, experienced even greater psychological impacts.
The study aimed to determine whether the fear of “Covid” was a predictor of stress, anxiety, and depression, and whether individuals with personal or familial illness had heightened psychological issues. Findings revealed that women and young people aged 16–25 exhibited higher levels of “Covid-19-related” fear, anxiety, depression, and stress. Additionally, there was a significant relationship between “Covid-19” fear and stress, anxiety, and depression, with notable moderation effects based on underlying health issues and close connections to individuals affected by the disease.[LONG discussion]….
The 2021 study doesn't present groundbreaking revelations; it’s clear that fear, as a powerful emotion, naturally leads to heightened anxiety, depression, and stress when facing an uncertain “threat.” However, the study does underscore key factors contributing to this amplified fear, such as the relentless, often contradictory news about the “virus” spread across TV, the internet, and social media, along with restrictive government actions world wide. The combination of these restrictions and the mass media’s rapid dissemination of fear-induced messaging drove up fear, anxiety, depression, and stress across all demographics, with particularly severe effects on those with preexisting health conditions and those with loved ones who were unwell. No actual “virus” was necessary to destabilize mental and physical health; only the threat of an invisible “virus” and the fear it generated sufficed.
In my original article on this topic, I highlighted how the health effects from heightened fear and related emotions closely mirror those attributed to “Covid.” It only takes a fear signal from an initial group to alert the rest, allowing the fear virus to spread rapidly across a vulnerable population. Once triggered, it no longer matters whether the threat is real or fictional; the mere mental perception is powerful enough to achieve the intended outcome. This effect is especially strong among the most mentally and physically susceptible, thereby increasing case numbers and reinforcing the perceived “threat.”
What began in early 2020 was a sophisticated psychological operation targeting the all of humanity, building on decades of groundwork laid by previous events like AIDS, SARS, and Swine flu. All that was needed was the foundational beLIEf in “pathogenic viruses” capable of triggering a “pandemic” to allow this fear virus to take hold, exacting a heavy physical and emotional toll on its host. The fear virus then spreads person to person in a cyclical trap, one that can only be broken when those infected understand the pseudoscientific fraud that has been perpetrated on a massive scale.
And, Dawn Lester also tackles the current ramp up in disease fear.
From original article dated 28th June 2022. Dawn Lester, 10/31/24.
I’ve decided to repost some of my earlier articles that I see as being entirely pertinent to the current situation in which we find ourselves regarding ‘disease outbreaks’ and threats of ‘disease outbreaks’. This is part 1 of a 3-part series. Parts 2 & 3 will follow soon.

And, this Department of Defense directive from late September should be highly concerning. I see a distinct possibility that the post-election situation will bring massive civil unrest by the reaction of the supporters of the defeated candidate, and this could be used to legitimate a military takeover and the imposition of a “coalition government” which will be tasked with tackling mounting problems such as a possible regional war in SW Asia, economic collapse and a feigned health crisis via public-private partnerships, digital IDs and massive social coercion. See here.

The BBC Fight For Propaganda, Iain Davis, 10/29/24,
While visiting family, I once again had the misfortune to watch the BBC. Under the BBC’s psychological assault, I nearly choked on my peanuts as it tried to sell me the ludicrous idea that its “Fight For Truth” was on. This was galling propaganda.
The BBC can’t even tell the truth in its own mission statement. In an attempt to dupe us into trusting it, the BBC falsely claims that it is “independent, impartial and truthful.” Let’s dispense with this pap for a start. The BBC is controlled by its state-given charter. It is largely funded at the discretion of the state, is ordered to report it activities to the state, has “news” reporting duties imposed upon it by the state and is regulated by the state. It couldn’t be less independent if it were a government department. Which, in effect, it is.
The BBC is not “independent,” it is paid not to be “impartial” and, therefore, certainly isn’t truthful. But its falsehoods are in no way limited to its mission statement gobbledygook. It has misreported everything from the strike footage it manipulated to the protests it lied about and terrorist attacks it fabricated in collusion with proscribed terrorist groups. The BBC is infested with paedophiles and adorns its own offices with sick child abuse statues while covering up the child rape and numerous other appalling scandals that frequently beleaguer it.
There is no need for any of us to “trust” any information source. But, if trust is something that matters to you, the BBC is just about the most untrustworthy “news” organisation on the planet. The BBC’s news anchorman Clive Myrie—who according to my mum has nice legs and a sexy voice—was selected to narrate this pabulum. His script had him say: "Disinformation you think you’re winning. Fooling people in the most sophisticated ways."
Of course, “disinformation” isn’t an entity. It can’t be rationally personified but then rationality isn’t something the BBC is particularly familiar with. With its ominous soundtrack, the BBC’s mealy mouthed manifestation of “disinformation” was a thinly veiled attack on anyone who questions the pronouncements of the august institution the BBC imagines itself to be. When Myrie identified “you,” his declared “fight” was with us.
The BBC is a leading exponent of so-called “disinformation,” not an organisation dedicated to combating it. Believing the BBC capable of waging a real counter-propaganda campaign is like putting your faith in Crippin to advance food safety standards.
Let’s just consider the propaganda oozing out of everything Myrie was instructed to say: "You fueled hate and confusion, unleashed conspiracies, endangered lives, undermined democracies and you make our jobs seem almost impossible. Almost!"
The BBC casts “all” people trying to defend their communities from socioeconomic oppression and exploitation as “far-right thugs.” It propagandises on behalf of selected terrorist organisations and falsifies reports on protests to mislead the public into fearing nonexistent threats. The BBC does everything it possibly can the perpetuate the myth of the Clash of Civilisations. The BBC is a hate-monger.
Throughout the pseudopandemic, BBC state propaganda—including the perpetual misreporting of mortality statistics—unquestioningly promoted lockdowns, masking, social distancing, the closure of health and other essential services and the rollout of experimental drugs on an entire population. As many people warned at the time, these policies—not a relatively innocuous respiratory illness—killed and continue to kill hundreds of thousands. Everyone who correctly warned of the consequences, including leading scientists and physicians, were castigated as conspiracy theorists and dangerous subversives by the BBC. BBC hypocrisy is almost beyond comprehension.
A conspiracy theorists is anyone who questions the diktats of the “epistemic authorities.” The BBC and its individual propagandists, like Marianna Spring, are designated constituent members of the epistemic authorities. To be labelled a conspiracy theorist by the BBC literally means you question power. The BBC ceased asking such questions decades ago and is now completely incapable of serving any kind of public interest.
The BBC persistently produces propaganda to lead us into wars. It supports and promotes war—illegal and otherwise—on behalf of the state and spreads falsehoods designed to convince us to accept war, as if war were a necessity. The BBC has blood on its hands and is a clear and present danger to all.
Democracy has nothing to do with the trust we place in the institutions of the state, like the BBC. On the contrary, democracy is based upon some basic democratic ideals which include our right—and practical ability—to question the state and where necessary, remove it and its institutions. The BBC would have us all believe that by questioning power—conspiracy theorising—we undermine what it deceitfully calls democracy. That is to say, the BBC is among the epistemic authorities that are utterly opposed to democratic ideals and seek to control society for their own ends. The BBC serves and protects tyranny, not democracy. [Democracy since its alleged reintroduction to the world in the 18th Century has in fact been an illusion]
“We” are making the BBC’s job seem “almost impossible” because, in ever greater numbers, we don’t believe it and question its propaganda. But the BBC has little to fear from what we think, despite its feigned struggle. The BBC is a loud voice within the legacy media. As such, it is defined by the United Nations as among the “the gatekeepers of news and information:” state propagandists protected by the state. While the UK state is trying to censor all of us through the Online Safety Act, the BBC is specifically exempt from its reach. Now it wants us to imagine it faces some sort of existential fight when, in truth, we are all under attack from the BBC.
Myrie droned on: "The more you try to drown out reality the harder we’ll work to verify the facts. And, with our expertise, you have nowhere to hide. We’ll find your slights of hand and expose them. So, no matter how hard it gets we’ll never give up."
People don’t need anyone to verify facts for them. We are all, each and every one of us, capable of deciding the facts for ourselves. We might be wrong, but a self-aggrandising state propaganda outfit that claims the mythological power to define the truth deserves nothing but our disdain. The only thing the BBC ever exposes is the official narrative it wants to focus our attention on. Its so-called experts are deemed expert by the BBC because they slavishly parrot or fit in with whatever opinion the state and the BBC want us to trust. Dissenting “expert” analysis is either ignored or vilified by the BBC.
The BBC’s feeble attempts to paint itself as a bastion of investigative journalism is an insult to our intelligence. It is a stenographer for the state. It investigates nothing and simply reports whatever it is told to report. That it is seriously trying to impose itself upon us as some sort of omniscient media presence is utterly farcical.
The BBC’s desperate attempts to hold on to its dwindling audience are quite pathetic and, if this laughable “Fight for Truth” propaganda is supposed to assist those efforts, it provides yet more evidence of the increasing chasm between BBC News and the audience it disingenuously claims to serve. BBC News is a rank state propaganda operation easily ignored. Its assumed gravitas is an illusion seen only by its captive true believers. Once you realise its “coverage” and “reportage” is biased junk, it is just another media outlet peddling its frequently clueless and invariably manipulative news product.
I don’t care what the the BBC says, and I’m not alone. Despite its immense resources it is losing the information war. The public are abandoning it in their millions and with good reason. That said, if the BBC is going to try to ram its pitiful PR dross down my throat, I reserve the right to object. I certainly don’t support the BBC financially and strongly suggests you don’t either—if you still do.
So please share this article, because it is beholding on all of us to ensure that the BBC does eventually “give up.” Presumably it will when the state finally accepts that we have made its BBC propaganda completely irrelevant.
If you're here because this was emailed to you and are wondering about the date, i corrected what i had originally, the correct date for this newsletter is 11/1/24.
Much of what is put forth here about the BBC is also true about the US equivalent, NPR, sometimes called “National Pentagon Radio”. I also agree about off-guardian. Its quality has, IMO, decreased in rough proportion to its articles and commenters who deny anthropogenic climate destabilization (a more accurate sobriquet than “climate change”). Its archived articles about the faux pandemic are still of great relevance.
